TWM Traffic Control systems have been involved in Safer Route To School Signs for Scotland, Wales and England.
This type of sign uses the latest in LED and Electronic technology. Consisting of LED Amber clusters, one in each corner and Solid State control gear. All fully enclosed and water tight within the aluminium sign body.
The futuristic design of the Solid State control gear allows the overall depth of the sign to be a slim 40mm. Height and width dimensions are to suit the design of the sign face.
The signs are controlled via a 24hr 365 day TALENTO time switch housed in an IP 66 rated enclosure stored in the base of the post. During the 'ON' times the Amber corner clusters flash, giving a clear advanced warning of the speed limit ahead.
The ARAF SLOW sign is also controlled by the TALENTO time switch. During the 'ON' times the Amber corner clusters flash and, if the pre-set speed limit is exceeded by drivers, the ARAF SLOW is activated.
