Roads in North Yorkshire made safer by TWM after specialist signs are installed
Fourteen speed limit control signs were installed in North Yorkshire after local parishes called for help to manage speeding on their roads. TWM stepped in to help local towns such as Malton, Beckwithshaw and Norton-on-Derwent after they approached North Yorkshire County Council for assistance in helping decrease the number of speeding cars in their respective areas.
Kevin Marshall, Company Director at TWM comments:
“At TWM, we have a passion for developing equipment that brings enhanced road safety to both drivers and pedestrians. We’re delighted that North Yorkshire County Council approached us to help a number of local parishes with their speeding issues. With fourteen signs currently installed and more to come, we believe they will be successful in keeping traffic travelling through these towns to the correct speed.”
Darren Griffith, Officer at North Yorkshire County Council said:
“We’re delighted with the new signage and we have seen a significant reduction in the number of speeding cars. TWM were a pleasure to work with from start to finish and we wouldn’t hesitate working with them again.”
Kevin Marshall continued:
“Sustainability is at the heart of what we do at TWM and we are always looking for the next way to make our products more environmentally friendly. We’re delighted that we supplied more wind and solar powered signs than ever before in 2019 and we’re already looking forward to eclipsing this achievement moving forward.”
